Print on packaging, labels, or signage. Scanning displays the text on the phone.
India ships products across language regions, Hindi packaging for north Indian states, Marathi for Maharashtra, Tamil for Tamil Nadu, Bangla for West Bengal, Gujarati for Gujarat. Printing the same instructions in five scripts on a small label is impossible. A single text QR holds the multilingual version: scan it once, all five scripts display on the phone. Same for warranty terms, return policies, recipe steps on food packaging, and dosage instructions on pharma. Fully offline, no internet needed.
Type or paste the content. UTF-8 means any script works natively, no font configuration. Keep under 1500 characters for clean scanning on low-end Android cameras. Pick a colour and dot style; SVG output for print. The QR encodes the text directly into the pattern, no server lookup required at scan time.
On FMCG packaging for multilingual ingredient lists. On pharma packs for dosage instructions in regional scripts. On factory machinery for the asset ID and last service date. On warehouse pallets for SKU lookup. On lab specimens for sample IDs. On heritage walks (museums, forts) for QR-narrated text in the visitor's language. For volume work like SKU-level asset tagging, use the Bulk tool to generate hundreds in one CSV.
Plain text QR can theoretically hold up to about 4000 characters; in practice keep under 1500 for clean readability on a 2 cm printed QR. Longer text means denser pattern means a bigger print size needed. For 2000+ character content, use a URL QR pointing to a hosted text page instead, the URL stays short and the QR stays scannable.
