Where creators use it
Why use a YouTube QR code
Opens the YouTube app directly
On phones with YouTube installed, scanning routes straight to the app. Viewers land in the native player rather than a browser tab, so they can like, subscribe, and comment in one tap.
Print-ready SVG and PNG output
Download as SVG for large-format print (banners, posters, packaging) or PNG for digital use. SVG scales to any size without pixelation, which is important for print shops.
Works for channels, videos, and playlists
Paste any YouTube URL into the generator: a channel handle, a single video ID, or a playlist. The same tool handles all three without switching pages.
No account or signup needed
Generate, customize, and download the QR without creating an account. There is no watermark and no usage limit on free downloads.
Stays valid as long as the video is live
Because the QR encodes a permanent YouTube URL, it keeps working after you edit the title, description, or thumbnail. Only deleting the video would break it.
Grows subscribers from offline print
Physical print is an underused channel for YouTube growth. A QR on a product, postcard, or poster converts people who would otherwise never find the channel through search.
How to create a YouTube QR code
Copy your YouTube URL
Open YouTube and copy the URL from the address bar for the video, channel, or playlist you want to link. Any valid youtube.com URL works.
Paste and customize
Go to the YouTube QR generator, paste the URL, and optionally add your logo and brand colors. The QR updates in real time as you adjust.
Download and deploy
Download as SVG for print or PNG for digital use. Place the QR on packaging, slides, posters, or anywhere your audience will have their phone handy.

YouTube QR code: common questions
Does the YouTube QR code open the YouTube app or the browser?
When someone scans the QR code, their phone checks for the YouTube app first. If YouTube is installed, it opens directly in the app. If not, the link opens in the default browser instead, so the video still plays.
Can I make a QR code for a YouTube channel, not just a single video?
Yes. Paste your channel URL (for example, youtube.com/@yourchannel) into the generator and it creates a QR that lands on your channel page. Viewers can then browse all your videos, subscribe, and see your playlists from there.
Will the QR code still work if I update the video title or thumbnail?
Yes. The QR encodes the video URL, not the title or thumbnail. You can edit the video on YouTube as many times as you like and the QR will keep working as long as you do not delete or change the video ID.
How do I get the right YouTube URL to put in the QR generator?
Open the video, channel, or playlist on YouTube and copy the URL from the browser address bar. For videos it looks like youtube.com/watch?v=XXXX, for channels like youtube.com/@handle, and for playlists like youtube.com/playlist?list=XXXX. Paste any of those directly into the generator.
Can I add my brand logo to the YouTube QR code?
Yes. After pasting your YouTube URL, use the customization panel to upload a logo and choose colors that match your brand. The generator applies high error-correction so the logo can cover a portion of the code without breaking scannability.
