Can I update my profile after the resume is printed?

Yes, if you use the hosted page or link to a profile you control. The QR points to the URL, not a snapshot, so editing your LinkedIn or hosted page updates what recruiters see without reprinting the resume.

Where on the resume should the QR go?

Top right corner near your contact details, or in the footer. Keep it around 2 to 2.5 cm so it scans but does not dominate the page. Add a tiny label like Scan for portfolio so the recruiter knows what it opens.

Will it scan after printing in black and white?

Yes. A QR is pure black and white by design, so a standard laser or inkjet print scans fine. Avoid shrinking it too small or printing on glossy paper that reflects light. Always test the printed copy with your phone first.

Can recruiters scan it without a special app?

Yes. The default camera on any modern Android phone or iPhone reads it and opens the link. No separate scanner app is needed on current devices.

Is it safe to share a hosted resume link publicly?
