QR Code Generator with Logo,
free with no watermark.
Add your brand logo to any QR code in 60 seconds. PNG, SVG, WebP, JPG up to 2 MB. No signup, no watermark, no logo lock-in. How error-correction level H lets you cover up to 25% of the QR without breaking scannability.
The 60-second version
Every QRSprint generator has a free logo upload field. Upload PNG, JPG, SVG, or WebP up to 2 MB. Adjust the size with the slider (15–25% is the sweet spot). The QR uses error-correction level H, which lets up to 30% of the pattern be obscured without losing scannability. Download as PNG or SVG. No signup, no watermark.
Global generators like qr-code-generator.com and Adobe Express paywall this feature. We include it free because logo upload is part of a basic generator, not a premium one.
How a QR with logo actually works
QR codes have built-in error correction. Up to a fraction of the pattern can be missing, scratched, or obscured, and the scanner still recovers the encoded data. Four levels of error correction exist:
- L (Low), 7% recovery. Smallest QR, no logo room.
- M (Medium), 15% recovery. Default for most generators.
- Q (Quartile), 25% recovery. Used for damaged-environment QRs.
- H (High), 30% recovery. Required for logo overlay.
When you add a logo, the generator must compensate by switching to level H, which makes the QR pattern denser to encode the same data plus the error-correction redundancy. A logo-QR is always slightly more visually complex than a logo-less version of the same content.
QRSprint generators auto-switch to level H the moment you upload a logo. You don't need to think about it.
Where to place the logo
Always the centre. Off-centre logos can interfere with the QR's three corner-finder patterns (the big squares in the corners), which scanners use to lock orientation. A centred logo sits in the area the scanner skips after locking on the corners, so it doesn't disrupt the read.
What logo formats and sizes work best
Format: SVG > transparent PNG > JPG > WebP
SVG scales infinitely without pixelation; perfect for QRs printed at any size. Transparent PNG is the second choice; the transparency lets the QR pattern show through any negative space in the logo, which looks cleaner. JPG works but the rectangular white background around the logo creates visual clutter. WebP is supported but rarely used because export tools are inconsistent.
Size: 15% for distance, 25% for close-up
Print size determines logo size. A QR on a counter standee scanned from 30 cm can take a 25% logo with no issues. A QR on a poster scanned from 2 metres needs the logo smaller (15-18%) so the QR pattern stays dominant in the scan-able area.
Shape: square > circular > irregular
Square logos pack into the centre area most efficiently. Circular logos work but leave dead corners. Irregular shapes (a brand wordmark stretched horizontally) waste vertical space and lower scan reliability. Crop your logo to a square before uploading.
Brand colour QRs that actually scan
Brand colours and QR scannability are in tension. Here is how to land both.
High-contrast pairs that work
- Dark brand colour on white background, best, works on any camera. Use your brand's deepest colour (navy, forest, dark red) on plain white.
- Brand colour on cream/off-white, slightly lower contrast but works for printed marketing where pure white feels sterile.
- Black on brand colour background, works only if the brand colour is light (light blue, mint, beige, pale yellow). Avoid for dark brand colours.
Combinations to avoid
- Light QR on dark background, inverted. Reduces scan success by 30-40% on cheap cameras.
- Two similar colours, green on teal, navy on black. Even with high error correction, low contrast kills scans.
- Gradient backgrounds, the camera reads each scan-line at one exposure; gradients mean some scan-lines see the QR clearly and others don't.
Dot style: classic square vs rounded vs classy
QRSprint offers 6 dot styles. The visual difference is real, the scannability impact is minor when used carefully.
- Square, classic, highest scan reliability, most generic look.
- Rounded, friendly, slightly softer; minor scan-reliability loss on cheap cameras.
- Dots, modern, fashion-forward; significant scan loss (15-20%), avoid for high-stakes payment QRs.
- Extra-rounded, smooth, premium feel; minor loss.
- Classy, diamond-shaped; moderate loss.
- Classy rounded, diamond + rounded; moderate loss.
For a UPI payment QR, stick to square or extra-rounded. For a marketing campaign QR (where the brand experience matters more than 100% scan rate), dots or classy are fine.
Generators that paywall logo upload
Logo upload is the most commonly paywalled feature in the QR-generator space. Here's who charges and what for.

| qr-code-generator.com | Paid | Paid | Free tier yes | ~$5/month |
| Adobe Express | Yes (bundled) | Yes | Free tier yes | $10/month bundle |
| QR Code Monkey | Yes | Yes | No | ₹0 |
| Orca Scan | Limited | Yes | No | ₹0 (basic only) |
| TEC-IT | Paid | Free | No | €19/month |
Step-by-step on QRSprint
- Open the generator for your QR type. URL, UPI, WhatsApp, WiFi, vCard, all 17 types support logo.
- Enter your destination (URL, UPI ID, contact info, etc.).
- Scroll to "Customize design".
- Click "Upload logo". Pick a PNG/JPG/SVG/WebP under 2 MB.
- The live preview updates instantly. Adjust the logo size slider to find the right balance.
- Test the live preview on your phone (take a screenshot of the page, hold up another phone, scan). Confirms scannability before download.
- Download as SVG for print, PNG for screens. No signup, no watermark.
Common mistakes
- Logo too big. Above 30% coverage, QR fails on cheap cameras. Use the size slider conservatively.
- Non-square logo. Crop to a square before uploading; rectangular logos waste centre space.
- Low-resolution PNG. If your logo is a small JPG from a 2015 website, it pixelates when scaled. Get a high-res or vector version.
- Logo with a coloured square background. The background creates a visual rectangle around the logo that breaks the QR aesthetic. Use a transparent-background PNG or SVG.
- Testing scan only on your own latest iPhone. Test on a 3-year-old budget Android too. That's your real-world scanner.
Frequently asked questions
Is logo upload really free?

Will the logo break the QR?
Not under 30% coverage at error-correction H. QRSprint auto-switches to H when you upload a logo.
What format works best?
SVG > transparent PNG > JPG.
Watermark on free download?
No on QRSprint. Some competitors add one.
